In 2022/23 there were 7.2 million people, or 11% of the UK population, in households experiencing food poverty, including 17% of children.
The Food Hub is working to fight this supporting those in need in our community. By rescuing perfectly good but unsellable items.
Current capacity allows us to offer affordable food packages to up to 500 families each week.
For just £3 our customers receive at least £30 worth of groceries.
Each Wednesday these essential items provide relief for up to 500 families.
This inclusive space not only provides food but a passionate team of volunteers are on hand for conversation and encouragement.
The food hub prevents good food from going to waste while supporting families who can benefit.
There are currently no restrictions on who can access the food hub but food and supplies will be prioritised based on supply and demand
A small, £3 donation is requested to support the running costs of the food hub. This goes towards transportation costs, supplies and other expenses
You can speak confidentially to a member of staff
You can expect a mixed supply of bread, fresh fruit and vegetables, frozen meat and some non-perishable tinned items
